I was blessed to grow up in a family that loved to read. At a young age you would find me bush walking with my dog, reliving the scenes in the latest book I was reading, or curled up on my bed, devouring my next novel.
My father introduced me to science-fiction, as I would read the books he left on the kitchen table. Then I discovered fantasy and all the possible worlds and people therein.
At primary school I started writing my own fantasy books which continued into high school and university – none ever finished. Then ‘life’ took hold of me and after university I lived in Japan, Australia, Singapore and then back to Australia.
I continued to write; for me and the characters who came alive in my mind. Publishing a novel was something of a fantasy in and of itself. Then one day I realised all I wanted was to take other people on my journey, to introduce them to the characters whom I love (and hate!).
I am a teacher, and I love my job. I am now a writer, and I love that as well. I hope my characters and books take you to a place that allows you to dream and you become as invested in their story as much as I am.
